I was banned from card gatherings too as I just wanted to chat or hadn’t been paying attention when the rules were poorly explained, also banned from exam revision sessions for distracting everyone - and Shithead was definitely the only one I was occasionally invited to play.

Great post ! I loved it, it made me laugh. As someone who has never been into cards either I am now quite intrigued by the Oblique Stratergies ……. Xmas present for daughter and perhaps a set for me. Maybe. I really enjoy your writing. Thank you.

I was introduced to tarot at a writing course about a year ago in a similar way - the images as a jumping off point for stories. I know very little about the meanings but just the images were magnificent and suggested SO much!
