I like collecting physical and mental scraps not know where/how they might coalesce into a creative project. Love the magpie approach.

Yes, the process knows we're trusting it. God is omniscient and omnipresent. The consciousness of the absolute is everywhere and knows everything.

Also remember to throw the caution with the wind, not into it, otherwise it'll just end up back in your face....

Thank you for this thought provoking post and for sharing your experience of “the process “ which is so very unique for every creative isnt it ? It certainly is gruelling to trust that ideas will evolve into something wonderful and tangible .. I love that you are immersed in art school and your meanderings which will definitely lead you to the concept that will sing for you!

This essay made me nod my head in acute agreement and smile throughout. The incredible hot water bottle sculpture is now on my list of things to see in person! 😄 Thank you!

I love the hot water bottle so much! (and a big fan of actual HWB. I have this picture by Rachel Whiteread on my kitchen wall https://www.thecollector.com/rachel-whiteread-hot-water-bottle-torsos/ )

I have a long torso. Now that I know they are Torso sculptures, I feel even closer to them! :)

I think it's kind of like....if i leave these few random things here together for a while, maybe a couple of them will swirl together and become the one thing I absolutely must commit to?!
